Panini pleasures

Mr Christian's is delighted to announce that we have introduced an exciting new range of freshly prepared Panini sandwiches. They come in three different flavours - Parma Ham, Mozzarella, Tomato and Pesto; Mozzarella, Tomato and Pesto; Avocado, Mozzarella and Tomato.

Great value meal deals

We introduced new Monday to Friday Breakfast and Lunch meal deals in May which have proved very popular with our customers. Buy a freshly made sandwich, packet of Tyrells crisps and a cold drink for £4.00. Also get a Paddy and Scott's coffee for £1.00 when you buy any pastry until 11:30.

Eat alfresco at Mr. Christian's

We're really happy to offer our customers the opportunity to eat alfresco. We've recently acquired three new tables and chairs that are positioned in front of the shop all week except Saturday's (and rainy days) when our lovely bread stall is outside. We're serving savouries, pastries, hot and cold drinks, as well as delicious freshly prepared dishes made daily by our chef. Come and watch the world go by!

Mr. Christian's welcomes new Assistant Manager Salim

Salim has now been at Mr Christian's for over a month, so if you've visited us recently it's highly likely you've already met him. He's previously worked at Starbucks and Wholefoods Market, and has a wealth of experience in catering and retail.

Like everyone that works here, his main passion is food, and he's particularly keen on Mr Christian's houmous, brownies and the newly arrived nougat. When he's not in the deli, you'll either find him in the gymn or watching football.

News from the kitchen

Daily in the kitchen, Said and his team are doing an amazing job creating an interesting selection of salads, freshly prepared dishes and sandwiches which are guaranteed to tickle your tastebuds. Our homebaked lasagna, stews, and curries are a perfect lunchtime takeaway option if you are looking to boost your energy levels. To receive our daily menu, please apply online.

Goat's Cheese at Mr Christian's

This June, at the cheese counter you will be able to buy some delicious goats cheeses made from fresh new spring milk and full of flavours.

The little Crottins de Chavignol is perfect when grilled on toast, with an accompanying salad. The Petit Billy, the youngest cheese, has a very fresh texture, and lightly lemony taste, and is perfect for breakfast or crumbled over a green salad on a nice fresh crusty baguette.

Standard goat's cheeses are also available to buy at Mr Christian's. The nutty flavoured Comte is as addictive as chocolate, and the lovely new Camembert which has just arrived is made of unpasteurised cow's milk. A perfect companion to Camembert, is one of Mr Christian's own label chutneys or savoury marmalades.

All these lovely jams, marmalades and chutneys are specially prepared for us by a family-run business based in Hampshire. We've recently received some exciting new recipes which are likely to cause a stir. Why not try the 'Volcanic Lime Pickle', or the 'Posh Ketchup' ? For those of you that are afraid of hot and spicy sauces, we have a really nice selection of sweet and sour choices like 'Caramelised Onion Marmalade', 'Tangy Tomato Relish' and 'Ramblers Chutney'.
